Google Analytics

Integrated Google Analytics

Google currently has 90%+ of the search engine market. By implementing Google Webmaster-compliant dynamic XML sitemap (ensuring all new pages are instantly registered with Google), and connecting the Analytics and Webmaster accounts to the CMS, Riskpoint provides the most up-to-date view of the website from Google’s perspective.

W3C Compliance

We aim for 100% W3C compliance

World Wide Web Consortium (http://www.w3.org/) is the body defining and controlling web standards. Riskpoint aims to deliver 100% W3C compliant websites: this ensures consistent rendering in all commonly used browsers including tablets and mobiles.

Sometimes it is not possible to comply fully with these standards; in such cases we will explain our reasons and any implication on website rendering or SEO.

Technical SEO Considerations

Riskpoint is able to incorporate SEO standards for the creation and development of the web service; we build our solution from the ground up and so can ensure best practices are employed in design and creation. We are not SEO specialists, but as standard we will implement the following HTML code features to ensure maximum SEO performance:

1. Register the site with Google Analytics and Webmaster

2. Submit a compliant dynamic XML sitemap to Google Webmaster

3. Enable user control of Meta Description and Meta Keywords for each page and site default

4. Ensure 100% W3C compliant code

5. Embed specific Open Graph (Facebook) meta tags, to ensure maximum visibility in Facebook

6. Ensure common standards for SEO-friendly URLs

7. Ensure correct element tagging (alt tags for images, titles for anchors)

8. Ensure correct ordering of key tags (H1, H2, H3)

9. Ensure valid RSS feed(s)

10. Ensure correct server behaviour:
a. Correct page display with and without www in the URL
b. Correct page display with and without trailing slashes (“/”) in the URL
c. 404 page for error handling

11. Optimise website performance with respect to download speeds:
a. Minifying of all JS and CSS files
b. Use of image sprites
c. Server-side caching of all resized images
d. Long browser-side caching of all static resources
e. Aim for 90+ score on Google Page Speed tool – speed is a well known SEO factor

12. Help the client link Twitter account and Facebook page to the CMS and the website using appropriate APIs
